Cost Per Action or CPA (sometimes known as Pay Per Action or PPA) is an online advertising pricing model, where the advertiser pays for each specified action (a purchase, a form submission, and so on) linked to the advertisement.
Direct response advertisers consider CPA the optimal way to buy online advertising, as an advertiser only pays for the ad when the desired action has occurred. An action can be a product being purchased, a form being filled, etc. (The desired action to be performed is determined by the advertiser.) Google incorporated this model into Google AdSense [1] but shut down the offering in June 2008[2]. eBay has recently announced a similar pricing called AdContext.
The CPA can be determined by different factors, depending where the online advertising inventory is being purchased.
Cost-Per-Action (CPA) advertising is one of the most powerful and profitable methods of advertising online out there. Sure, Pay-Per-Click (PPC) is all the rage right now and garnering all the talk, but PPC is nowhere as profitable and as consistent as CPA advertising. With CPA the amount of revenue a person can generate each month is limitless. I, personally, have seen examples of affiliates making upwards of $3,000 per day through CPA advertising. FYI, the average affiliate marketer makes $500 each day advertising online.
So, where can you get started with CPA?
Do a search and check out what other people are using online. There are lots of companies to choose from. I, however, vouch for Flux Ads. I found them online, gave them a try, and have been very very happy thus far. I have to admit I was attracted to their tagline, "We didn't invent affiliate marketing we just made it better." Cheesy, perhaps, but it certainly has its points of truth.
For starters, they have changed the way people can advertise online, by offering exclusive CPA offers and high payouts to its affiliates. Actually, Flux Ads boasts some of the highest payouts of any of the other CPA networks out there.
One of the most important points to consider when choosing a CPA affiliate is the Account Managers that you will be working with. I've been very impressed and happy with the Flux Ads staff; they not only walked me through everything (I am a novice and came into this with basically zero experience) but they continue to give me access to the TOP performing offers every day. That is key. Even the most experienced Affiliate marketer can benefit from companies, like Flux Ads, that provides a dedicated Account Manager to a marketer. An experienced affiliate company and manager will always know what is converting well, and what is not. This translates to ensuring that the affiliate marketer is always running the best offer possible in order to make the most amount of revenue through their inventory.
Sounds tricky, but it's really not. It's all about choosing a company that gives you a highly educated manager who constantly gives you top ads to run. With those two aspects in your favor, you can't go wrong. All you can do is make money.
Affiliate marketing is not dead...at all! It's here to stay. And in these not-so-prosperous economic times, who could say no to an expanding bank account?
