The Origin Of The Universe

    View:

Physics explains the origin of the universe with the hypothesis of the Big Bang, which is today's most superior supposition amongst physicists. It is also coherent with the Christian dogma, compatible with the Biblical explanation of Creation, and inter alia, applauded and embraced by theologians.

Long, long ago.... many billions of years ago, there was a singularity. In the core of this singularity a massive explosion took place, a forcible discharge of energy that cannot verbally be described. It happened some eighteen billion years ago. So severe was this explosion that we are still flying through space, all these billions of years later..... According to Cosmology, the universe would have been a miscarriage if this explosion happened a billionth of a second earlier or later. But it happened exactly at the right time, and the universe was a perfectly healthy newborn.

Of the very instant of the Big Bang, Dr. Gerald Schroeder, author of “Genesis and the Big Bang", physicist and theologian says: “No one knows what was present at that explosive instant, but whatever was there was in an exotic state of madly rapid motion. The matter and space of this moment were so tightly packed, so dense, that the violent collisions among the particles of matter and those packets of energy we refer to as photons, were continually shattering each other into and out of existence. Energy and matter were in a fluid interchange, just as Einstein's most basic statement of relativity implies: E=mc², and equally true: mc²=E".

Hydrogen and helium, the two most elementary elements, existed only as atomic nuclei in and during the very first moments after the Big Bang. Light is a form of electro-magnetic energy that travels via radiation. The first light was in the range of gamma rays, so powerful that it would not have been visible by humans. Electrons affiliated in stable orbits around the primal hydrogen and helium nuclei, due to the thermal energy of the photons that declined to 3000 degrees Kelvin. The photons broke free from the matter of the universe and became visible. This veracious event engendered light to be light and darkness to be darkness, Theologically as well as Scientifically.

The Big Bang was followed by three phases of creation.

The first 6 billion years formed the 1st phase of creation with the 1st generations of billions of galaxies, each with its own agglomerations of billions of stars - competent furnaces for the atomical and chemical transformations of elementary elements into heavier elements. This super-compression took place within the cores of stars at an approximate temperature of fifteen to twenty million degrees Celsius. It compressed hydrogen and helium so tightly together that their nuclei combined and recombined to fuse into heavier elements for the eventual sustenance of life.

The second period of 6 billion years formed the 2nd phase of creation with its new generations of galaxies and stars, still transforming elementary elements into heavier elements. During this second phase of creation our sun and planets came into existence.

The time after the initial 12 billion years forms the third phase of creation, in which the universe is at present. And only some time during this 3rd phase did life appear.

In retrospect, it is clear-cut that the Big Bang set the universe onto a journey that was targeted towards life. During all these billions of years, the universe did nothing else but equipped itself to accommodate and serve life and man, the crown of all creation.

From: “The Road to Damascus"

Nymph completed her L.T.C.L. in music and drama, and obtained a B.A. Psychology and Philosophy a few years later. She trained as formal singer under various renowned vocal advisers and performed in numerous concerts, recitals, and oratorios. After a car accident that lead to a few neuro surgeries, she began investigating the benefits of deep relaxation and wrote a few books and numerous articles on the subject.
