Have you ever had a bad day? Of course you have. We all have. In fact, Rhonda Byrne was having a bad YEAR. Her work wasn't going well, so she didn't have any money. Her father recently died. She was ready to give up. Then, out of the blue, her daughter handed her a book. Rhonda read it one evening, and then it came to her ... The Secret! She just knew her life was about to take a wonderful turn.



Rhonda quickly summoned her production crew, excited to let them in on The Secret movie idea she had. Of course there was no budget, but she convinced her crew to have as much faith in the project as she had, and she told them to focus only on the outcome rather than exactly how they'd get there. During production, her own faith was tested many times, but focus always brought her back to the task at hand.

Focusing on the outcome paid off for Rhonda toward the end of production. When the final scenes were being put together, Rhonda wished she could have afforded more than one camera man so they could've gotten some close-ups of people. Imagine that! On the one day that two camera men showed up, she realized that the second one HAD gotten exactly the close-ups she wanted!

Rhonda Byrne has said, "Faith is total heart trust without knowing with your mind." Isn't that what The Secret is all about? Isn't that why she began production on a movie knowing she had no money to pay the crew? Having faith in herself meant she was able to focus on the end result, not how to get there.

You've heard the saying, "You are what you eat." Truth be told, you are what you THINK as well. Saying things like, "I'm broke," or "I'm fat," makes you believe you are broke and fat whether you are or not. Saying something like that puts the focus of your mind on it. You should only focus on positives. When you say, "I'm ...", make it positive. Doing so will help you become what you want to be.

Life is all about challenges. Each of us face them everyday. The Secret helps people get past those challenges by filling their hearts with love. When Rhonda Byrne first started producing the movie, she was barely making ends meet. That didn't stop her from doing something the rest of us might consider crazy though. She withdrew her money from an ATM and started handing it to strangers on the street!

You have to have focus in order to have The Secret. Figure out what it is you really want, and then focus your mind on it like a laser beam. Ignore everything else. Rhonda wanted everyone to have access to this powerful mind game, so even before the movie began making money, she started giving away millions of DVDs to people in poor parts of the world.

Starting today, take action. It's the only way you'll have what you want. Focus is great, but it's not everything. For example, when marketing The Secret, Rhonda didn't advertise on television. She put trailers online and let word of mouth do the advertising for her. Action is key, and focus is the drive to The Secret.
