Aussies call them eco holders and the Americans prefer to call them koozies. Even while spelled and pronounced differently, cozies, coozies or koozies can all be simply taken as can or bottle jackets that aim to act as insulators between your hand and the drink. Made usually from Neoprene, the material used to make wetsuits, koozies are especially effective in hot weather when you do not want the heat from your hand to make your drink any warmer, or maybe they are just as effective the other way around too when you don't want the drink in your hand, freezing your fingers off!



There is speculation about their effectiveness; some say Neoprene koozies are the best, other have even introduced thermos koozies that can keep your drink cold for up to three hours! Companies offer free koozies as advertising material with their brand names or logos printed over the koozie so it gets attention. The regular charges seem to be 40$ but there are those who say less and then send you huge deliver bill to fill and a bill for using more than one printing color to boot. Suffice to say, it is best to read the fine print while ordering online or you can stick to the regular local printers if internet shopping is not up your alley.
