Okay, so what is the Zero Factor? Well, it's my little barometer that tells me that I have close to zero chance of failing with my current project, whatever it might be. So what are the bases I'm talking about?

For starters, there is the actual concept of the project. Let's assume it's a new product you plan to create. The first thing you want to do is see how much of a demand there is for the product. The greater the demand, the lower the value I give to this factor. For example, if I see the product I am creating has 100,000 searches a month then I know this is HUGE demand and my factor is very close to a zero.

The next thing I look at is the sales page. I make sure that the sales page is a perfect as it can be. After all, the greatest product in the world isn't going to sell if the sales copy is bad. So I run it by the experts in the field and have them give me a rating from 0 to 10. I tell them that zero is perfect and 10 is horrible. I then take the average of all the votes and add that to my previous total.

I continue to do this with each aspect of my product, including my ads, my articles, my blog posts, everything. I assign a value to everything that I do and then add all the values up at the end.

I have found that my products that added up to a 10 or less were my best sellers. The products that added up to 20 or more, were my worst sellers. For more details

Have I ever come up with a zero? No, but I have come very close. My best selling product ever added up to a 3. I was very proud of it. It sold like hotcakes when it first came out.It doesn't matter what system you use to evaluate each step in the process. Just be consistent with your evaluations and you'll find that it will give you a pretty good idea of how well you're product will sell.
