When it comes to document drying, there are many advantages to it. Those individuals that have never had to have their documents put through the process of document drying may not know just how many advantages there are. However, if you are an individual that has had experience with the process of document drying, you know how many advantages document drying has to it. In the beginning, I did not realize all of the advantages that come about with document drying but now I am happy to say that I know.



I was about 10 years old when I first encountered flood and the horror of flood damage. The floor was horrible because the whole area was flooded. Everything was under water - stores, the house I lived in, apartment buildings and office buildings. The truth is that I have never seen a flood that was as bad as this. I was a kid back then and didn't grasp a full understanding of what my parents were going through. However, I can now say I know exactly what my parents were going through.

My parents were very sad about this flood and I could not figure out why. Here I was, being a kid not understanding why my parents were sad about loosing baby pictures of me. All I could say is, "you can always take pictures of me, I am still here." A day after the tragic incident happened, I heard them discussing about document drying. From my understanding they were going to take all of their files, pictures and other memorable items to a company that was going to put them through the process called document drying.

I still remember my parents on the day they came home with the documents that had went through the process of document drying. My older brother who was 20 years old at the time was babysitting me and he was happy as well. When I looked at the pictures that were once wet, they looked good as new. The pictures appeared to be in great condition. I have to admit, at that age, even I was surprised at how good the document drying process worked. I do not want a flood to come about in my area anytime soon but when the flood does show up in my area, I will know what to do. Looking back on it now, I can see why my parents were upset about loosing those first baby pictures of me. If I ever lost the first baby pictures of my childhood, I would be extremely upset.

Right now, I am looking at my first baby pictures that have gone through the process of document drying. I cannot believe how long it has been since those pictures have went through the document drying process and they still appear to be in great condition. If not for my parent's persistence on saving these pictures and if not for this great process called document drying, I would have lost those memories forever.
