You need to remember that all of this is going to be discussed quite a bit in the news. People will hear about it and people will wonder what the consequences will be for you. If you aren't bothering to mention it at all they might start to wonder why, and think it is a bad sign for you.

This is really just about opening yourself up to your customers and keeping them informed on everything going on with your company. If you start to leave things out they might notice and lose a little bit of trust with you. Avoid that by making sure you're as upfront as possible. Why make them worry when you don't have to?
