There is a wide variety of siding materials available, and the salesperson was very helpful in helping me make my selection. There is also several vinyl siding colors on the market to choose from. I had no problem in making my choice. After all I did know what I was doing.



Actually I had never installed the first plank of siding in my entire life. But I felt like I was an expert as I had watched it done a hundred times on the do-it-yourself shows on television. I have watched siding installation by just about everyone who has a home improvement show on television. In fact I have quite a bit of experience and education on how to install siding.

I dressed in my work clothes to go to the home improvement center. Blue jeans, work boots, vest, and a tape measure on your belt will help you from being intimidated by the salesman. I had no problem with the vinyl siding cost. I had investigated vinyl siding prices and was able to be convincing to the salesman about my knowledge of the subject.

I think maybe the salesman started to see through be when he got into some technical questions that I started to be uncomfortable with. I began to see that maybe I didn't know enough about installing siding to take on this project. These questions were about things never discussed on television. Maybe I should hire a vinyl siding contractor to do the job.

After leaving the home improvement store, I went home, grabbed a beer, and hit the couch to watch Norm build some furniture.

I decided that the best way to install vinyl siding was to call a contractor, drink beer while laying in the hammock and just watch.
