After losing countless amounts of my parents quarters at the arcade, SNK finally brought this war game classic to the NES system. Playing Bart whom escapes from an enemy POW camp and you must guide him through the jungle and infiltrate the enemy camp. An instant side scrolling beat em up classic.

Operation Wolf 1989 By: Taito
Also another arcade classic that I spent too many quarters on before it came to NES. The player must save hostages from a concentration camp by shooting as many bad guys as possible before they kill you. Although this game was amazing in the arcade, using the Duck Hunt gun instead of the arcade Uzi made it harder and not as intense to play on the NES system. Still a great classic game.

Blades of Steel 1988 By: Konami
Not the best hockey game released for NES, but the most fun. The best part about this game was the fighting. Especially since whoever lost the fight went to the penalty box, while the winner went free. Now if only the NHL could bring in those rules.

Bubble Bobble 1988 By: Taito
Warning: Once you play this game, the theme song will be stuck in your head for years to come. Especially since there is only one song and it repeats level after level in this ridiculously catchy game. Controlling anime style dragons, players must capture enemies in their bubbles.

Pro Wrestling 1987 By: Nintendo
Better then any game that WWE has ever brought out. This is the only game we could convince our father to play with us as kids. Play 1 on 1 or against the computer to make your way through the ranks of the VWA. For anyone who remembers this game, Starman was by far the best character.

Super Mario Bros. 1985 By: Nintendo
Everybody and their mother played this game which was stock with any NES system. Not the original Mario game, it became the 1st in a series of the side scrolling Mario franchise. Although many would argue that Mario 3 was the superior game, Mario 1 was a classic no-frills game that started an empire for Nintendo.

Rescue: The Embassy Mission 1990 By: Seika
In Rescue, you must guide your task force through the streets and set up snipers as well as storm a building in which innocents are being held by armed gunman. The game play is intense with the only downfall being its quick to finish and becomes repetitive after a while.

Tecmo Super Bowl 1991 By: Tecmo
My brother hated all sports games, but no-one could pull him off Tecmo Super Bowl. One of the 1st games to include real players and teams from the NFL, this football game was highly unrealistic, but plenty of fun. Where-else can you throw ten 80 yard hail Mary's in a row and make sure they are all caught!
#2
The Punisher 1990 By: LJN
Based on the Marvel comic super hero The Punisher, this side scrolling shooter was from the 1st person perspective. Shooting drug dealers and criminals, it was your job to keep the streets clean. Not to be confused with the later version brought out by Capcom which was more in the style of Double Dragon.

Skate or Die! 1988 By: Ultra Games
One of the best 2 player games made. Skate or Die pits the player in a series of skateboarding challenges that are fun for hours (and later found out years!) Before the Tony Hawk video-game series, their was Skate or Die.
Of course this list changes from person to person and most of these games probably don't make your NES top 10. That is the beauty of Nintendo. They had so many amazing games for the NES console that it is impossible for 2 people to agree on their favorite games.
Top 10 Nintendo Games
As the Wii comes with only one wiimote and one nunchuk you will probably want to buy extras so you can play games with your friends and family. Extra Wii controllers and nunchuks helps take the gaming experience to another level. Trust me Wii Sports is much more fun playing against a Human!
Wii Sports Pack
The wii sports pack features a range of cool controller add ons that make the games more realistic, these attachments include. A Golf Club Grip, Baseball Bat and mini Tennis Racket Grip, all of the add-ons quickly attach quickly and to the Wii-mote.
Wii Steering Wheel
The wii steering wheel is a simple but effective add on to the Wii-mote, I find that holding the Wii controller with out one and playing car games just fees wrong. The Steering wheel makes it feel more natural and extends the game play reality.
Better Cables
When you buy the Wii it comes supplied with some basic RCA cables that are lets face it a bit old skool! If you are lucky enough to own a Plasma TV, DLP or LCD Screen then a simple way to gain extra quality is replace the cables with either Wii component AV cables or a Wii S-Video cable. The Wii is not HD like the PS3 or Xbox360 its still a fast way to get a better picture with minimal costs.
Controller Docking Stations
If you're a hardened gamer like myself you will notice that the Wii Controllers have a real appetite for AA batteries. There are many docking stations for wii controllers that replace the standard alkaline batteries for rechargeable ones. The Wiimotes simply charge up whilst not in use making sure that when you come to play you're not left feeling flat.
GameCube Controller
If you plan on making use of the Wiis backwards compatibility then the Gamecube controller is a must, they can be picked up on ebay for next to nothing. You can even buy the cordless Wavebird controller for wire free gaming.
SD card
The wii is only supplied with a small 512mb SD card, its not a huge issue if you only play a couple of games but you can soon fill the card up with multiple game saves. I personally purchased a couple of 2gb cards just in case I run out of space, it's a low cost add on and definitely worthwhile.
Sensor Bar
The Wii comes with a infrared sensor bar but it makes sense to purchase a spare, they're not built with strength in mind and can become easily damaged, i have a pet rabbit who chewed through the cable! I had to wait a week for a replacement! Save yourself from boredom and buy a spare sensor bar.
Wii Points Game card
The Wii points system is one of the best features of the Wii, it allows you to purchase classic games from the old Nintendo Platforms. My personal favorites are Super Mario World and Mario Kart (SNES). You can buy Wii Points online or buy prepaid Wii points cards. The current rate is 100 Wii Points per US Dollar.
Guitar Hero or Rock Band
Whilst not necessarily an add on Guitar Hero and Rock Band are probably the best Wii games out there at the moment. Either one of these games are an absolute necessity! Please go and buy this game, you will not be disappointed.
