There are two types of medication which are used to fight acne. There are medicines which are taken orally and there are creams, powders and gels which are applied on the skin. Tazortene; an antibiotic that works as an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial medication to treat acne includes Erythromycin, Azelaic, Clindamycin and Sulfacetamide Retinoids have been known to open up the blocked pores of the sebum glands and also effectively treat blackheads and whiteheads. This category includes Tretinion under the brand names like Retin-A, Avita and Stevia-A.

Combination drugs like Benzamycin (benzoyl peroxide and erythromycin) and Stievamycin (erythromycin and topical retinoid) are also popular. All these products have one thing in common: they only attack the acne on a superficial level by suppressing the symptoms. But, is that what we are seeking?

Topical Acne Treatments - the true story.

I have been experimenting for upwards of 7 years with all conceivable topical acne treatments which exist and after extensive research, it is my considered opinion that your acne can never be cured by any known topical acne treatment. The reason for this is that the appearance of acne in a person is a sign that there is something deeply wrong with him internally and it is not just an external phenomenon. So, while there are several topical treatments which may offer temporary relief, they really do nothing more than camouflage the symptoms.

If you really want your acne to be permanently cured, you will have to set right the internal causes that lie within you. It is only by using holistic all natural methods that you will be able to conquer your acne, whatever type it may be and however severe its manifestation, because it will go to the root of the acne and nip it in the bud. No topical acne treatment will be able to do this.
