Tours And Travel Kenya

    View:
Whether you in the hunt for adventure, or on the look out for exotic wildlife, or maybe you have a fetish for art and culture, or you are thirsting for a deep in the warm and salty tropical ocean; Kenya is ultimately the place for you. Located on the eastern borderline of Africa, is a dynamic country endowed with rich culture, flora and fauna, picturesque terrains and splashing water bodies. This astounding yet humble country offers remarkable and unique relaxation one will keep on coming back for more.

This vibrant country oozes with robust and striking culture, art and language to all that have a fetish for the same. With over seventy tribes, so far counted, one will never get to finish learning the diverse cultures, art and social ways on life practised by these tribes. The tribes are spread out within the entire country thus making it more fun to one who has a quest for interacting with them. The marvellous Kenyan coast also offers one of the most diverse cultural environments on the continent. People of different races, cultures and tribes have co-existed at the Kenyan since the turn of the last century and this has led to a flourishing

History lovers would have a tremendous experience in this old country, Kenya. Most of this country's towns and cities have humble beginnings that by chance landed into history books. At the coast, for example, towns such as Lamu, Malindi and Mombasa were astonishingly found in an ancient map drawn by a Greek explorer, Claudius Ptolemy, in 930 A.D. In addition, the Kenyan coast has been at the centre spot for most of the political, economic and religious uprisings and developments in the East African region. Still on history, Kenya's capital Nairobi grew out of a modest relaxation centre and a transit town for the European railway builders and traders in the late 1890's.

For those whose holiday plans are driven by the desire to explore wildlife, the immense plains, mountains and plateaus of Kenya offer colourful flora and fauna in their natural habitats. The country is one of the few in the world where one is able to see the lions and most of the carnivores in their natural habitat. With large pieces of land reserved as parks and nature conservation areas, it is undoubtedly the best destination for bird watchers, animal enthusiasts and nature conservationists. Kenyan nature reserves have appeared been on centre stage in preserving the deteriorating populations of animals such as the White rhino, the Sitatunga, the African bush elephants and other animal and bird species. The marine ecologies located at the coastal marine parks with the white sandy beaches and the blue thundering waves are packed together to form excellent relaxation and holiday destinations in the country.

Those who love camping and lodging, there are lots of offers on hand, because most of the parks and nature reserves allow camping and have lodges constructed within the perimeters. Rough outdoor activities such as white-water rafting, kayaking are among the most sought-after activities on the large rivers flowing through plains and lowlands in the country. Mountaineering, paragliding and parachuting are among the outdoor activities that Kenya's mountains, highlands and plain lands are a host to. Indeed this spectacular country offers a wholesome fun experience to any traveller from any part of the world.

Ever heard of the famous Professor Wangari Maathai? She is a Nobel Peace Price Laurreate, the Member of Parliament for Tetu Constitituency, the founder and leader of the Green Belt Movement. With so many attributes to her name, she is the so down to earth Lady that you may not pick up from the large crowds she pulls while campaining for the conservation of the environment both Globally and in Kenya, where she was born and Brought up.

Like in many many other countries in the world, Kenya has had its share of deforestation through illegal logging, land degradation by use rudimentally farming practices and burning of fossil fuels leading to the Global warming threat, where the world is expected to warm up by over 2 degrees centgrade over the next 100 years. It expected that increased temperature changes could lead to drastic and erratic weather changes with some parts of the world becoming either too hot or too cold. This is going to affect food production to an ever growing population especially in the less deveoped african countries making human survival harder than in any other period in the history of mankind.

Professor Wangari Maathai has has taken the leading role in organising communities and Non-Governmental organizations into condemming land grabbing, degazettement of forest land and illegal logging, throgh her Green Belt movement. Many youth groups and women organizations have taken the cue from her and started indigenous tree nurseries all over kenya. These initiatives are going to change the face of Kenya, making your dreams of that covetted Safari even more interesting, imagine all the bare countryside coming to life with lush green indegenous trees that save our soils from the from raging rain waters running into the rivers that feed our National animal conservatories.

As a tourist in Kenya, you could get involved. Lets call it an environmental Safari / Green Safari. You could help plant a tree or two. Let us exchange views. What is your country doing to conserve the environment? What lessons can Kenyans learn from from your countrys' conservation efforts? Do you have an alternative to fuel wood that 90% of kenyans use? What will Kenya do with the menace of plastic waste management? The list is endless, but the options are there with you and the whole lot of us will appreciate.

Kenyans are a very hospitable people. They wil not mind to host you as a tourist as you travel to other covetted tourist destinations scattered all over the country. Talk of budget travel and you have it, it cannot come cheaper. There are many diverse tribes in Kenya and you are sure to be treated to the many traditional cuisine that are prepared in the countryside. You will also be treated to the many cultural events, unique to each cultural group.
