Training A Dog To Bark

    View:
Anyone who's lived with or beside a neighbor with a dog knows this: a dog won't stop barking. Why won't the neighbor do some dog training to this dog to stop the annoying barking? The dog may bark the whole day or it may just bark at night, when you're supposed to be sleeping. For people who have tuned out the dog's barking, it's not a problem. Too bad for the rest of the neighborhood who complain about it. Excessive dog barking is one of the most common reasons why neighbors argue. The neighbor that is affected by the barking of the dog, feels is unfair that the dog owner does not do some dog training to it's pet so the dog stops barking.

It's a source of stress, all that barking, especially when you're jolted awake from slumber by that dog. It's hard to sleep with that noise to begin with, it's harder to go back to sleep when you've been rudely awakened by it. Someone has to do something about that dog.

It's often not the dog's fault, but that of the owner's. Barking in itself is normal. That's what dogs do. The real problem is too much barking. It strains your nerves to have to deal with that barking, and have to come out and knock on your neighbor's door, to complain about it. It's just as stressful to be that neighbor and be complained about. Wish something could be done about this.

Many rules, ordinances, have been put into place to address disruptive barks of dogs. One problem is that the people in law enforcement do not usually think of this as a problem. If you can't get to sleep because of your neighbor's dog's yapping, you have to make your neighbor realize that that barking is no different from turning up the volume on a rock concert video in the middle of the night. Still, that neighbor might not have the faintest clue how to make the dog shut up. He could just be as ignorant about training that dog. Worse, he may not care, because it doesn't bother him. Poor you.

As a good neighbor, you could, provide him with ideas, even some materials to curb the dog's incessant barking, maybe some dog training tips or dog training techniques that you might know. But then, usually, dog owners simply do not give a hoot about this. One drastic solution for this situation is to use a dog training collar. This can be irritating to some dogs (and to some people). Still, some dogs won't mind this, and just keep yapping.

If you're the owner, and that dog really has a problem. It's not the end of the world. Some form of dog training is available to just cease all that yapping. First, you have to watch your dog, see his barking schedule, what triggers it. It could be he's bored; it could be he's just in need of some company. Maybe you've absentmindedly put some furniture over his favorite sleeping spot. Maybe he needs you to walk him more often. Remember, by applying some dog training techniques, not only will you have a better relationship with your dog, but with the neighbor too. Give it a try, train your dog!
Training A Dog To Bark
There are some effective steps when potty training a dog; following these steps will free you from the hassle and annoyance of cleaning up your pet's urine and feces every now and then. This works especially with puppies that urinates and defecates several times especially after every feeding. Think of the burden that you will face when you don't train them properly. You will probably be cleaning their mess all day long!

Make it a point to start potty training a dog when it is still young. Make it a habit to take him to a specific corner every time he needs to urinate or defecate. You should to do this to make him be accustomed where he needs to do his voiding every time he needs to.

Be watchful of your dog's action usually after eating. Constantly smelling the floor may suggest that the dog needs to poop or pee. Once you saw your dog act like these; take him along to that specific spot where he should void. This is another tip when potty training a dog, which can be very helpful in familiarizing the dog on where to go and what to do when he feels the need to void.

Next step is to familiarize the dog about a specific command that you will utter every time you observe that he needs to urinate or defecate. This is often carried out when you have observed that the dog is now accustomed to where he needs to go for a poop or pee. Try to say this command phrase every time you see the indicative signals for voiding. One phrase that you can use as a command for voiding is "Go out and poop/pee."

When potty training your dog, you as the dog owner or trainer should be patient enough until you achieve the results you wanted to see. Never shout or show any signs that you are frustrated with the dog whenever he fails to comply with your instructions. At times when he poops or pees inside the house keep your temper and just clean the mess and keep on with the task of potty training your dog. The dog will eventually learn later on.

Dogs like humans also have feelings. They also love to hear praises for a job well done. Remember to commend your dog whenever he poops or pees in the proper spot. This is another essential tip when potty training a dog.

Potty training is one of the most challenging tasks that dog owners should be well-aware of. If you are interested to learn more read my blog about potty training a dog.
