Its architectural design, craftsmanship, spires, columns and other Gothic features took more than four centuries to build. The most interesting and intriguing exhibit is the nail which is said to be one of those that pierced through Christ's flesh. There is a copper statue of Madonna. The cathedral can comfortably accommodate around 40,000 people. Its fabulous windows are the largest in the world.

The rooms in the palatial house have  various artistic and decorative styles of the past --Baroque, Medieval period, Early Renaissance and Rococo,  Each room reflects an epoch in the history of creative  arts rendered by the most innovative artists of the time. For example, the eighteenth century porcelains can be seen in the Rococo-style room, now called Stucco Room, while the Black Room recreates the environment of the Sixteenth century Northern-European Flemish "Polyptych".
