Not too terribly long ago, almost everything that needed electric power had a power cord and was plugged in. Things you didn't want to plug in -- such as flashlights, toys and transistor radios -- generally used regular batteries that you could buy anywhere. So when you needed batteries it was just a matter of finding a place that sold D-cells or C-Cells or AAs. More recently, different types of battery technologies became available and you had to decide whether you needed alkalines or whether the less expensive "heavy duty" batteries would do. With all the numerous types and kinds of consumer electronics we have today things are much more complicated. Finding the right kind of battery or battery charger has become a real challenge.
When I look around my home, I can see dozens of devices that need batteries. My life is such that I need PDA batteries, camcorder batteries, digital camera batteries, power tool batteries, notebook batteries and a bunch of other batteries for all the gadgets that are supposed to make my life easier and more enjoyable. I do stock up on AAs and AAAs whenever I find them on sale somewhere, but more and more devices use special rechargeable battery packs. Every notebook computer has a different one, and so does every digital camera, handheld computer, GPS device and Smartphone.
To make matters worse, unlike standard batteries, those power packs and chargers can be quite expensive and difficult to find. If you've ever tried to track down an akku for an older laptop computer or T6 power for a certain type of digital camera battery you know that it can be nearly impossible to find the right thing. Manufacturers often charge a fortune for replacement batteries. If you look for less expensive alternatives online, it's usually difficult to find the right model or one that is compatible.
Your best bet is an online akku shop that specializes on batteries and battery chargers. Some of those places carry batteries and replacement batteries for literally tens of thousands of consumer electronics devices. A good shop will make it easy to find the product you need by letting you drill down from product type to brand to model. For example, I'd go from Digital Camera to Olympus to Stylus 770SW to find a replacement for the battery in my waterproof Oly. If I know the part number of the battery (which I do), I'd look for a Li-42B and find both a replacement battery and a charger.
Good replacement battery e-shops will provide fast service and the correct in formation for whatever it is you need. The shop will also guarantee that all its products satisfy strict standards and regulations, and carry all the required licenses and certificates required in EU countries.
When you need a new battery for one of your many electronic gadgets you don't want to wait weeks to get a replacement, pay a fortune, or get the wrong thing. That's why it makes sense to go to a place that focuses solely on batteries and chargers.
Trying To Find Out
If you've been a trader for any period of time you will know that it is extremely difficult to catch the top or bottom of a market, and to do this on a consistent basis is even more difficult.
Even technical analysis experts struggle to pick out tops and bottoms of trading ranges on a regular basis, and although they may get lucky occasionally, there will be plenty of other times when they've entered a position too early or too late.
It's important to note that a currency pair, or indeed any financial instrument can remain overbought or oversold for a very long time, and may become even more so. Just because certain technical indicators signal a probable high or low has been reached, does not necessarily mean that this is the case.
For example, there may be several indicators such as RSI, CCI and stochastics, for instance, indicating that the GBP/USD pair is currently overbought and therefore ripe for shorting, but there's still no reason why it couldn't go 200 points higher into even more overbought territory.
Furthermore this is the case whether you're trading short term or long term. Yes it's true that forex pairs do conform fairly well to technical analysis, but there are always exceptions (otherwise we would all be millionaires).
The problem with this method of trading is that you are always fighting the trend, which is why I personally prefer to use methods that follow the overall trend.
However, if you do want to trade overbought and oversold positions, you can still go with the trend to some extent by waiting for a solid confirmation that a reversal is taking place.
This will mean that you don't catch all of a move but you will have added confidence in your trade that a true reversal is about to take place when you do enter a position.
For example you could use crossover indicators like EMAs, MACD and TRIX for confirmation.
Anyway the main point I want to get across is that trying to consistently find highs and lows is a difficult way of trading which is why you're better off either using a trend-following method or waiting for added confirmation if you do want to trade this way.
