A tsunami is a series of ocean waves that are traveling at long lengths and are generally generated by earthquakes that come about around the ocean floor. Volcanic eruptions that happen under water and landsides are also known to cause tsunamis. This means, when a tsunami happens, you may not be able to look at the water damage that has happened to your property until a couple of weeks and this may not be a good thing. If you cannot get to your items on time, then you may not be able to save those important documents from water damage. However, if you are able to get to your house in a couple of hours after a tsunami has taken place, you may be able to go through your stuff and save a few things by having this document dried.

Also, the duration of the flood can depend on the geographical configuration where the tsunami took place. If your area is under the sea, river or lake level, then it can take a couple of months to drain the area out. How do they drain the area out after a tsunami or other type of flood?
