Too often the term marketing gets too associated with only pure advertising, and so when it comes to the forms of marketing that go beyond directly advertising to people, they get overlooked by a lot of companies.



Marketing has to do with anything that can promote your company in any way, and just being remembered is a way of promoting your company. With all the different businesses out there that you're competing against, getting your name remembered by a customer is a very big deal, and can have a big impact on your sales.

Many of the ways you get your name remembered have nothing to do with direct marketing at all, and come in the form of a variety of different passive styles of marketing. But in essence, it's about making everything associated with your company a form of marketing, no matter how big or small.

Take envelope printing. Every company is going to need a lot of envelopes as a general note. These are an expense that will already be factored into your budget because we haven't gone so far into the internet age that people don't need envelopes anymore.

The same is true of letterheads or even putting your company logo on the side of your building. None of this is any kind of direct form of advertising, but it does help to get people to remember who you are.

The more often people see your company name the better the chances are that they'll begin to remember who you are. Repetition is to an extent the name of the game.

But the really great thing about marketing tactics like this is the cheap cost associated with them. Sure, they won't have the same kind of impact on people that your other marketing will have, but then, they don't cost even remotely as much, either.

Try to find as many things that you can to get your company name onto so that every time a person looks at anything associated with your company they can't help but see that brand name and logo.

It's amazing how many different objects can be turned into great forms of marketing if you know how to work with them. The best ones are those like envelope printing, which are the ones you were going to have to get done anyways. Now you just get an additional benefit from them.
