These companies are good, but they are basically doing the same thing that you can do for yourself, except that they usually charge you for their services. The charges will just make it that much harder for you to get your bad credit erased. However you can call your creditors and try to negotiate for yourself and most of the time creditors will work with you to help you get your credit back in good standing. The first thing that you will want to do is contact your creditors and try to get them to lower your interest rates, or your monthly payment so that you can make payments on time, and try to erase your debts. Then once you get your debts paid off, slowly try to reestablish your credit by making small purchases and paying them off quickly.

If you already have bad credit, there are things you can do. Bad credit is not the end of the world, but if it is not taken seriously it can definitely derail your life's plans.
