The new cog swapper is available in the base RX-8 and Type E models. Nonetheless, it is not available in Type S models with a 6-speed manual. The powerful 6-port rotary engine is incorporated in the 6-speed AT RX-8.

Mazda RX-8 Type S and Type E models can be ordered with a Sand Beige Leather Package. Said package complements the upholstery and trim of Mazda RX-8. On the exterior, 2 new body colors are introduced ? the stark blue Stormy Blue Mica and radiant white Crystal White Pearl Mica. These colors are said to boost the sporty pedigree, identity and quality associated with Mazda RX-8 parts and vehicles.
