Used Cars From Dealers

    View:
They simply use auto auctions and seized car auctions to get their vehicles for a very low price. There are a few who purchase their used cars from dealer but that is not as common as you think because dealerships tend to charge higher prices. You can also be sure that every car has been gone over thoroughly and all the major and minor problems have been listed on the auction paperwork. You will definitely be sure of what you are getting. Listed below are some things you might want to consider before you buy your next used car.

The first thing we need to clarify is what exactly a seized car auction means. These are vehicles that were in some sort of crime and have been taken away from the original owners by the federal, state, or local authorities. They may have been used in some sort of criminal act and therefore lost. The authorities sell the vehicles and use the money they receive to fund other operations for policing. They may also be vehicles that have been repossessed by a bank or financing agency because of non-payment. Thousands of cars wind up this way each year. For those that have their cars taken away, it is a definite loss for them but a real advantage for you.

For those agencies taking the cars, the money spent in storage can be quite high so they hold auctions to ease this burden. You can find some vehicles that are only about 10 percent of the original price and value it would bring in the regular sales market. Did you ever ask yourself how so-in-so was driving a nice expensive car on a small budget? This might be the answer. You can do the same thing with a little know how and money in your pocket. No more do you have to drive around in a run down vehicle because you have no money to get something better. It is possible to find a great car and have it paid off in one motion. How great would it be with no payments?

The laws now in force around the country have made it so that vehicle confiscation is an expected consequence. This may be for any crime related to the mob or for drug offences. As the law enforcement officials take more positive action, the warehouses fill up with these types of vehicles. No matter how the car came to be in the auction, you can benefit from it. Unlike the dealers who are looking for money for themselves out of the deal, the seized car owners only want to get rid of the vehicle and are making no substantial amounts in selling it. This is the reason for the nicer cars to be at lower prices.

It is very possible for you to purchase a tax confiscated vehicle for a few hundred dollars. Those cars are usually the luxury sedan models or sporty type vehicles. These companies and agencies are desperate to rid themselves of the many storage facilities full of unwanted cars and trucks. If this sounds good to you, then why not find out where the next used car auction is going to be held and take the time to just sit through one so you can have an idea of how they work. When you are comfortable with it, take the leap and get into he action of buying yourself a nice ride.
Used Cars From Dealers
All cars hold by the used car dealership and destined for sale, should identify the fact clearly on cars' or within them. This should remove any ambiguity and make the car identification process clear for the intending buyer. Of course, the dealer's location should also be clearly marked by a signage stating: 'Used Cars for Sale' or similar.

At the back of the sign, used car dealers must indicate the complete name and address of the dealership, along with the contact numbers where consumers could call on for possible complaints or any concern in the future. The sign is also called a guide, as it contains all relevant information that the buyer may be interested to know. This way, used car dealers can give confidence to the buyer and at the same time build credibility and reputation for good customer service.

Used car dealerships must also indicate important information in the buyer's guide in accordance with the national automobile dealers association used car guide such as the following: information that would tell if the vehicle goes with a warranty or not; the different services that the car dealer could offer (insurance, accessories, etc.); other promises that must be put into writing; the various mechanical and electrical systems; which parts of the used car should the buyer watch out for; a reminder for the buyer to look for an independent mechanic to handle inspection of the used car for sale, before he comes up with the final decision.

Buyer should be able to check if the vehicle identification number of the car offered for sale is the same as that stated on the title. Dealership should make sure, that the ownership title is clear.

The online presence is very convenient not only for the dealers, but for the prospective customers as well. The former can considerably reduce their administrative costs, by exchanging info about stocks' availability between members. Then, if a need arises, they can shift used cars between dealerships, as needed. The later, can search for their ideal used car make and model from the comfort of their home. If they're able to locate the used car they want to buy, even some 300 miles away, it can be shipped to the nearest dealership, conveniently close to their place of residence.

One advantage of dealing with a used car (network of) dealers is the assurance that member dealers are legitimate and do have used car dealers license. Used car dealers are obliged to come up with the necessary documentation, paperwork, manufacture warranty, and other licenses. They are also expected to help any customer with related matters, like trade-ins and after-sale service information.

If a buyer wanted to negotiate with a used car dealer directly, he may do so and may even benefit from it by haggling for a lower and better price. It is best to scout for cheap used car dealers in town and directly talk to the dealer. After doing some searching, the buyer can visit the dealer and haggle with the price quote initially shown in the website or in the car yard itself. Regardless what is shown to the public (the so called official price), the buyer can still negotiate for a lower price. The dealer is also expected to provide the buyer with a copy of the used car warranty. Similarly, the car has to have a current registration, and insurance.
