Having a yeast infection is uncomfortable and annoying. What some people do not know is that yeast is always present in your body. The overabundance of yeast or candida albicans is a problem. Microorganisms called pathogenic yeasts cause infection. They thrive on mucus membranes and can multiple quickly if good bacteria such as Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli are lowered. Yeast infections develop in the mouth, throat, tongue and female genitalia can cause irritation, redness and a burning sensation. People all of all ages can be infected with yeast rashes and especially individuals with weak immune systems.
Yeast Infection in Pregnancy
Pregnant women are more likely to have yeast infections especially in the vagina and surrounding area. This is because Estrogen levels are high during pregnancy which causes moisture in the vagina which can breed yeast. Another factor in the increased rate of yeast infections in pregnancy is due to increased sugar in a women's body. Yeast thrives on sugar and will multiple quickly when sugar is present.
When treating yeast infection in pregnancy, you need to make sure that the itching, burning and redness that you are experiencing is definitely a yeast infection. These symptoms are also common in bacterial infection and Sexually Transmitted Diseases. It is important for the health of yourself and your baby that you consult a physician to make sure exactly what is causing your symptoms so you can be treated appropriately.
If you have a yeast infection, you will not be able to take the usual oral medication for yeast rashes, Diflucan. Diflucan is known to cause congenital disorders in babies whose mothers took it during pregnancy. Instead, your doctor will prescribe you a topical cream or ointment for the treatment of the infection.
Yeast Diaper Rash
Infants and babies are also susceptible to yeast infections because of their immature immune systems and diapers. Diapers harbor moisture, which is an excellent environment for yeast to grow. Foods can also cause yeast if the baby is sensitive to the type of food digested. Babies can also get yeast diaper rash from breastfeeding when their mother has thrush.
The symptoms of this include having a border of rash redness, lesions, or scales where the diaper rash is present, small red spots on top of the red rash and rash in crevices like the buttocks and groin area. The only treatment that is safe and effective for babies is cream or ointment prescribed by a doctor.
Yeast infections that develops in the mouth, throat or on the tongue is referred to as Thrush. Thrush is marked by having white spots on the area infected along with redness. Adults will have a burning sensation associated with this infection. Adults who are on antibiotics are more likely to get this type of infection. This is because antibiotics attack good bacteria in your body that helps balance out yeast. When the good bacteria are gone, the bad bacterium takes over and produces yeast. Infants and babies are also susceptible to this infection but are not usually bothered by it unless it is left untreated.
Uti And Yeast Infection
Studies done recently in medicine indicate that there's a connection between the appearance of a medical problem known as the yeast infection or candidiasis, and the intake of antibiotics. So many of my clients want to know if yeast infections really are caused by the intake of antibiotics. To answer such a question requires going much further. You should note that hidden causes of yeast infection include many complex factors and are not just the simple result of antibiotics.
Candida is the main agent that causes candidiasis - it is a single cell microorganism, a fungus, which is always present in your body. Usually the human organism contains candida in small and harmless quantities. Candida is balanced by beneficial bacteria and a correctly functioning immune system. However, these normal proportions can shift out of balance. Candida then gets out of control and in turn the intestine becomes a breeding ground for candida to multiply. Candida that is typically present in the intestines then starts to rip the membranes of the intestines to invade the blood circulation, and this causes the yeast infections symptoms which are all too obvious.
The delicate environments in the intestines can also be affected by the intake of antibiotics over the long term. Although just one of the reasons for infection by yeast which on the whole is a much more complicated, there are however two reasons for this:
1. The debilitation of the immune system and the death of beneficial microorganisms is the result of antibiotics that kill bacteria without discrimination. This means that a correctly working immune system is no longer available to protect the body.
2. The other effect on the human body is the wrecking of the "pH" balance. The pH balance is the way we describe the relationship between negatively charged ions and positively charged ions. It is the same difference between alkali being formed and acid being formed. The more acidic the pH context becomes, the more risk there is that candida will multiply beyond bounds.
For the reasons mentioned above, you should avoid or at least minimize wherever possible the use of antibiotics. It should be noted that we are often exposed to antibiotics and not only during medical treatments for problems. Dairy products which are non organic are filled with antibiotics among with other chemical products. For this reason such dairy products should be replaced with healthier options like milk products from goats and sheep.
As well as relieving the outer symptoms, there is a solution to eliminate all the infections that are the result of candida. Did anybody tell you that there is a holistic treatment which is all natural and which can eradicate the internal reasons of yeast infection?
