The latest release is the Couture Collection. The Couture Collection has a Summer 2009 retail release, but the pieces are able to be ordered through Verragio authorized outlets now. This range of diamond engagement rings features a bezel set diamond sitting under the famous Verragio Lumino Setting of the center stone. This extra diamond can be seen when viewing the engagement ring from the side.

The Couture Collection joins the Paradiso, Insignia, and Classico Collections, all of which display the Lumino setting. Both the Paradiso and Insignia collection of engagement and wedding rings also feature ornate scrolls on the inner side of the band. These scrolls are not only eye catching, but improve wearer comfort, being made to measure, and prevent the rings from sliding around. Incidentally, these unique ring designs can only be found in the Verragio jewelry collections.

The Lumino Setting was originally designed by Verragio founder Barry Verragio when he was designing an engagement ring for his then fiancee, now wife. The setting was such a success that it has now become an exclusive Verragio design. The beauty of the Lumino setting lies in the fact that the diamond is raised above the body of the ring, allowing the diamond to be exposed to up to 75% more light. The result? A lot of fire and sparkle. The stone is firmly and safely set, yet fully on display for maximum effect.

Verragio engagement rings are manufactured as semi-mounts, meaning the selection of center diamonds is left up to the individual. This can be beneficial in several scenarios. Firstly, you may have a family engagement ring which has a dated or worn setting, but a fabulous diamond that you can use.
