National Windsurfing Week takes place 2nd ? 10th May 2009. It is being run as a non profit venture and is not managed by any single element of the industry. National Windsurfing Week aims to bring all parts of the windsurfing community together. The event is being held to push involvement in the sport forward and increase the numbers of people windsurfing on a regular basis. It also provides them with a fantastic opportunity to promote and share their passion for the wind, water and the waves with others.

Events are being planned up and down the country under the banner and with the assistance of National Windsurfing Week. This year they are also proud to support windsurfing4CancerResearch.org. It is a new charity being formed to promote Cancer Awareness amongst fellow windsurfers. And through specific projects, raise funds for Cancer Research.
