Even if you want to clean your carpet, the chances that it could be ruined are high due to inadequate and accurate knowledge. The carpet has to be cleaned in accordance to the manufacturers' manual and special attention is to be paid to the kind of fiber used in the carpet and also to know if it is made from non synthetic materials. We could definitely say that we need to understand the type of carpet we have before embarking on cleaning it.

Clean your carpet

Some suggested ways to clean your carpet are as follows. These methods involve non chemical products to clean the stains.

The moment the spillage falls on the carpeted floor. Make an effort to daub as much as spill as you can. Scrubbing the carpet should be avoided as this could further set the stain. Pressure should be applied with a terry cloth to absorb maximum spillage.

Dish washing mild detergent could be used. The detergent should be diluted with warm water and daubed onto the stain. A clean cloth should be used to blot it out.

Hydrogen peroxide is also a good alternative to clean if the first option is not successful. This would have to be applied at the seat of the stain.

If all the above do not yield the required result, then you would have to go for professional help. Powerful chemicals would then be used to remove the stain.

Preferably the carpet would have to be cleaned once every six months or more according to your choice. It is also better to call a professional carpet cleaner as they would be able to do a better job of cleaning the carpet. In case of indulging in regular washing, a carpet cleaning machine could be hired or purchased.
