I wish it weren't the case but, it's not everyday that I get a CD for review that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can't force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Anywhere But Home. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.
This one literally grabs your attention right out of the gate with Haunted and won't let go until the very last note of the very last song Whisper, which is another great track by the way.

One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you've got one of Evanescence most impressive releases ever.
Listen to Anywhere But Home and I believe you'll find there's not much to dis-like about it. The songs are inspired, the production is simply outstanding, and this is clearly the work of a group of musicians in top form. So much so that if you're even mildly into Rock music you'll enjoy this album.
While the entire album is outstanding the truly standout tunes are track 3 - Taking Over Me, track 6 - My Last Breath, and track 11 - Bring Me To Life.
My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 7 - Farther Away. Wow!
