As we all know, we have four seasons during the course of one year. Do you have a favorite? Spring is pretty when everything comes alive after its long sleep. Summer is nice as the weather is warm, and this is the time for all of us to travel. Winter is just cold and dismal. Animals go to sleep, and it snows a lot. I think the most beautiful season is fall.

During the fall season, the weather is just right most of the time. It is not too hot and not too cold. All of our colors seem to come alive in the fall. If you ever go for a drive down some tree-lined street or highway, all those trees will look like they are on fire. The tree's leaves are changing their colors, and they can be at several different stages. Some will be a light green, and some haven't started. They will still be a dark green. Then you will have some that will be starting to turn yellow or red. Put them all together, and they will resemble fire.

This is the season when all things start to go to sleep, and all the animals are starting to gather their needed food supply for the winter. You will have seen these animals running all over the place gathering nuts and whatever else they need to get them through the winter. The grass will also start to go to sleep, and it will turn brown.

The hunters like this season because they get to hunt all different kinds of animals. They will hunt and kill deer, turkeys, ducks, geese, and quail. Most of these hunting seasons are in winter, but the hunters will start to gather their gear and get it all ready as soon as fall starts. They will have their guns sighted to make sure that it will hit what they are pointing at. If they use a 4-wheeler to go after a deer, they will need to make sure that it is running at top condition.

This is also the season when we start to put away our summer things and start to bring out our winter stuff, like our heavy clothes and the joys of holidays. In this season, there is Thanksgiving. It is supposes to be the time that we give thanks for all that has happened to us in that year. Well this isn't going to be a very joyous season this year because of all the problems in our country, but we can still try.
