There are marketing plan components that will be vital in the creation of a truly successful product launch. The most important part of the marketing plan is the ?what? as in ?what are you going to sell?? You will need to answer this question before you begin as this question will drive all of your other marketing plans.
The second component in your marketing plan should be your prospects or the ?who?. Who do you believe will benefit from your product and who do you think will likely respond to your marketing efforts?
Once you have established the ?what? and the ?who? you will move on to determine what your message will be. What is it that you want to convey to your targeted audience about your product. Will you tout it's new and improved status? Or is your product a brand new invention ready to revolutionize the world? Make your message clear and focused.
Next you will want to establish a standard by which to measure any increase in sales or feedback. What are your current sales figures? How are you currently marketing your products? If you don't know how sales are now you will not have a proper assessment of the effectiveness of your marketing as you move forward.
Establish goals concerning your business? progress. These goals will cause you to make plans for growth and will encourage the process. This is the real purpose for your marketing plan in the first place, to take your business from where it is now to where you want it to be.
What are your methods of reaching your goals? How will you market your products to your customers? What forms of advertising do you think will be most effective? By this point in the plan you should have a strong understanding of your customer base, your product, your message, and your goals so that this last part is a no-brainer.
Now get out there and implement this new marketing plan and watch your business grow right before your eyes. But don't be afraid to work hard at it, that's the only way it will really pay off.
