Loving Family Laundry Room
Martin Cohn
Many diseases that people suffer from nowadays are the result of prolonged contact with chemicals, some of them highly toxic.
An example is commonly found in daily washing products that we have in our homes.
Many products contain chemicals like glycol ether, acids, caustics, borine, chlorine, phosphate, sodium lauryl or laureth sulphate, to name a few. The list is in fact far more extensive, but I wanted to point out what we are dealing with here.
It is worth taking the time to look through you common housel=hold products in your kitchen, laundry, and bathroom, and you may well be horrified at what you find, by reading the ingredients list on your various cleaners, and washing products.
The good news amongst all of this, is that there are many products available that are as effective, and chemical free, or certainly less so that the high concentrations found in many commercial products. More and more companies are manufacturing environmentally friendly products, both as demand is increasing, and more people are conscious of the negative effects some commercial products are having on both our health, as well as the environment.
To explain this point a little further, consider the people that want to recycle their washing machine water into the garden. In the countries where this is permitted, the water that the vegetable patch may be getting could be grey water (used, but not chemically unsafe), or may contain phosphates, and other chemicals, that are then 'drunk' by plants that your family may later eat.
With more attention to these points, the people that want to grow organic produce at home, as well as work towards a safer environment are able to do so, knowing they are making a real difference.
In addition, another benefit to the environment of some of the newer technology, environmentally friendly products are that they require less washing time, and water, so efficiencies in water use, and electricity are able to be achieved as well.
It should be noted that the effectiveness of these products is increasing constantly as well.
A further benefit and safety bonus is the fact that many environmentally friendly products are also safer in the home, and pose less risk to children, who may ingest the products by accident.
Whilst many families take great care, the emergency rooms of hospitals worldwide are filled with many children who have ingested daily products and chemicals in the home environment.
