That is not to say that the doctor is not a surgeon. Some doctors even claim to be members of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. But you should know that board is NOT recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS.) So why not hire an ophthalmologist to do your eyelift surgery? It would seem logical that a doctor who specializes in the eye would be the right one for the job, right? Not necessarily.
