The Smooth CE 2.1 Elliptical Trainer is yet another in a long line of top quality exercise machines manufactured under the Smooth name. The CE 2.1 is relatively new compared to many of the other more well known models of Smooth Elliptical machines, but it is already receiving great reviews as a quality exercise machine produced by a well respected company.

The CE 2.1 Elliptical is neither a light compact elliptical trainer, nor a heavy commercial sized stationary elliptical machine, but somewhere in the middle and generally price at around $1,300, which is a very solid price for everything that the CE 2.1 has to offer. The CE 2.1 weighs around 175 pounds, so it is heavy to move, but it also has wheels on the back end to help move it, but even with wheels it's not easy so it's best to pick a spot and stick with it.

The Smooth CE 2.1 is still a Smooth elliptical trainer, so it comes with all of the extra technical aspects that you would expect from a quality line like Smooth. There are 16 resistance levels with this particular model, and the usual quiet motor to make work out times more peaceful.

The CE 2.1 will support up to 300 pounds. If there is a slight complaint it's that particularly tall individuals, since the peddles are set and there is no peddle adjustment, won't get the full benefit of this exercise machine since their long legs will negate some of the full extent and motion of movement.

This doesn't mean that individuals over 6 feet tall can't use this model, but if you are taller then you will want to try it out to make sure you can get enough range of movement to see the benefits of using this particular budget model.

Overall this isn't the greatest Smooth model, but it is still a high quality elliptical training machine that is a very solid value for the price, and is worthy of consideration for any home gym.
