So you didn't get pregnant this month? A response to failing to conceive each month can be demonstrated in couples feeling anger, despair, frustration, grief and even blame. This can then result in a rise in stress levels for one or both of you. In turn the stress may lead to sexual or relationship problems further compounding the problem.

Worry and frustration are probably two of the biggest emotions experienced when trying to get pregnant and having problems conceiving. Some of the common sexual problems encountered in these situations are as follows:

? Anorgansmia (absence of orgasm)

There are several ways in which to relax and decrease the stress. Investigate stress management programmes. Remember not all stress is bad. Too little and we don't get things done but too much can prevent us from relaxing.

Engage in regular exercise. Taken in moderation exercise can help reduce stress by working out the frustration or provide some individual reflection time. You will also benefit from the flexibility, strength and stamina that is required during pregnancy and labour when pregnancy does occur.
Before trying any of these techniques check with your doctor first to ensure they are appropriate for you and will not interfere with any existing treatment.
