Questions that many people ask is why take a holiday to Cuba. The answer is simple. Cuba is a country with many different attractions and cultural differences. Cuba offers different cultures in religion, politics and music as well as art. Cuba has always been a world away it seems, but the tourism is very exciting. In some places, you can walk down the street and feel as if you are being taken back to the 50's. it s amazing to see how some places hold onto the culture from the earlier years. This is a country that holds onto it history and does not change very fast.
The beautiful art galleries and museums are another reason to travel to Cuba. The artwork from the revolutionary period is just beautiful. The old cobble stone roads and churches are fascinating to see. If you visit Havana, you will see some of the most unbelievable fortresses. The fortresses are preserved and stand tall against the land. The area around Havana is striking and so well preserved as well. If you visit Havana, you will see the Plaza de la Cathedral that was built back in the seventieth and eighteenth centuries. The hotel district will remind you of the 50's as well. It seems that Cuba is the only place in the world that tries to hold on to the early days.
The country also has some amazing colonial towns. Trinidad is a special town to visit. The mansions are remarkably rich. You will have some idea about the riches of Cuba when you see these mansions. Some of the mansions are now used as museums and guesthouses. The nightlife in this area is filled with music and dancing. If you gat a chance, you should see the boxing matches and baseball games. The Cubans are well known for these two sports.
The water activities are scuba diving, snorkeling and hiking. The best area to dive is by Maria la Gorda where you will see the black coral. Then you can hike the Sierra Maestra and see Cuba for all its beauty. The area from the top of the highest peak in Cuba is a spectacular view. Seeing this beauty just makes the entire vacation worth it. The country is beautiful and visitors will see many fascinating sights as well as attractions. Visiting some of the historical areas gives you an understanding about Cuba and the history.
In Cuba, one will hear and see dancing to the Spanish and African music. The crowds enjoy these times. Everyone gets out, dances, and enjoys the day. The salsa beat is Cuban, but you will see all three going on in Cuba. Although many people think that Cuba is not as safe to visit, it is a great place to visit and it is safe. Visitors are treated very well and the people enjoy sharing history and learning about the things in other countries. Cheap holidays to Cuba are fun and filled with so much history.
