Eczema, also known as dermatitis is a skin disorder. It is a disorder that 90% of the time appears in children. Eczema is not however, a contagious disease as some people may think.
The symptoms of eczema can be redness on the skin, itching, dry and flaky skin, itchy blisters, inflammation of the skin and rough and thickened skin, to name a few.
There are many home remedies available for eczema nowadays.
Believe it or not, eating pesto sauce can help to reduce eczema.
Drinking a cup of water that has ½ tablespoon of turmeric added can give great results.
Take freshly ground nutmeg and add a spot of water to make a paste and apply it to the affected area.
Applying coconut oil to the skin is a very good home remedy for eczema.
Even though we are told not to, but sunbathing is very beneficial to eczema patients, as the sun kills harmful bacteria.
Spearmint leaf juice reduces the signs of eczema.
Mash some papaya seeds and apply the paste to the skin to stop itching.
Mash almond leaves in a cup of water and apply to the skin for great treatment of eczema.
A highly beneficial treatment for eczema is carrot and muskmelon.
Dabbing the affected area with witch hazel several times a day will help to reduce eczema.
Make a fine paste by using one tablespoon of turmeric powder and one tablespoon of bitter Neen leaves, apply to the affected area. This is one of the best home remedies for eczema.
Prepare a paste made of one tablespoon of camphor and one teaspoon of sandalwood and apply it to the skin.
Place natural vitamin E onto the affected area which will relieve the itching. This can be done by cutting open vitamin E capsules and squeezing the liquid onto the skin.
Blueberry leaves will reduce inflammation.
By drinking one glass of tomato juice every, you will see visible results in a 2 to 3 days.
Fill up your bath with water and add walnut leaves. Sit in the bath for a while and take a soak. However, it is essential not to add anything else to the water.
One treatment, which some people may find a little smelly, but it really does work, is to grind up some garlic and add the same amount of honey. Smear this mixture all over the affected area of the skin and wrap with a nylon bandage before going to bed. Remove the bandage in the morning and clean the area with alcohol. Do not apply water on it.
Aloe Vera will relieve inflammation.
In order to minimize the destruction of the skin cells, burdock root can be applied to the affected area.
Chamomile will relieve itching.
Marshmallow root can be applied to the affected area of the skin to prevent infection.
