Has this ever happened to you? One day, you go in to see the doctor, and he tells you that the yeast infection you're dealing with just isn't going to go away for good - it's a situation you'll have to learn to put up with from time to time? Western medicine, with all its wonders, can still be incredibly frustrating sometimes.
Out of the blue one afternoon, I thought to myself: "Before western medicine came to be, weren't there any home remedies for yeast infections that people used?"
I mean if you consider it for a minute, it's logical that folks from times gone by suffered with these same problems, and yet they were able to effectively deal with it. So why can't we?
The answer to that question ended up taking me on a long and winding road. It seems that much of that sort of wisdom was handed down verbally (as it wasn't something that was talked about openly in that era) and much of what was written has disappeared over time. Why? Well, two main reasons come immediately to mind:
1. Doctors make money from providing you with prescriptions. They make absolutely nothing from recommending an herbal or natural product to you.
2. If you didn't keep getting sick, and going into the doctor for more pills and creams, he would be out of business! Staying well doesn't line the pockets of doctors and drug companies.
Right?
After what seemed like forever, I did manage to finally find some home remedies for yeast infections. I have now been free of these recurring problems for nearly a year now after repeatedly suffering from them every few months for the past several years.
