Home Staging Before And After
Sara Mcconnel
Home Staging has made many people financially stable and very successful In fact it has helped many people to become very wealthy. You ardently hope that you will also be one of them. You have actually on the same business but sadly you felt as if your efforts are not paying off. You’ve struggling for months to sell a certain property yet no one seemed to be interested. Calls were very scarce and inquiries were mostly vague. In short, it seems that your home staging business is not clicking in. Maybe a closer look at your home staging stuff or services might help. Let’s look then at some things that should be emphasized when doing home staging.
Though home staging seems to be similar to tapping your fingers on the computer keyboard, but the thing is it is way different said than done. Since you do not have hold on the type of costumers you can encounter, your only ace in the game is to ascertain in the most possible way that potential buyers can notice the property you are advertising. Therefore, make your property stand out and shine from among the rest. Here are some things that one should not forget and always recall when doing home staging.
Dos
Dust off that dirt – prior to a buyer’s visit, make sure that the place is more than tidy. Buyers especially those with allergies would not be interested to buy a place that is filled with dust and dirt. So clean up.
Make it their home – since you are prepared to sell your property make it a point to remove personal things inside the house. Things that are owned by former owners when not part of the items for sale seemed to discourage buyers. This somehow feeds the idea that the former owner is hesitating to give up their property. So let the potential buyers feel that your property can be their own. It also helps to use neutral colors, inoffensive wallpapers and designs for any adornment.
Hide the clutter – disorganized spaces is a big no, no in home staging. Make sure that newspaper, magazines and even forms of reading material are tucked inside appropriate cabinets. Shoes and worn clothes should be kept away from walkways and be not visible to the naked eye.
Clean the outside more – since potential buyers enter your lawn first before getting inside the house, make sure that the outside portion of the property for sale is as well polished as the interior. Create a welcoming mat by mowing those grasses and removing weeds from flower rows.
No more big furniture – space is another factor that can entice a buyer. A more spacious place tells a buyer that they can add whatever they can to the place. Remove then those old and big cabinets that eat up your living room’s space.
Donts
Don’t get personal – think of your property as a very good item for sale. A potential buyer’s remark should not affect you in any way.
It is the real state market’s game – the house no matter how well prepared it is for buyers needs will never sell itself. The price will still be up to the real state market.
Subtract but don’t add – when you remove things that should not be found inside the house for sale, don’t think of adding new ones too.
You need not renovate – buyers’ taste varies and your own preference in color and texture may not be sellable to them. Therefore don’t do a major renovation.
Ask help – if you are a new bee in this business, don’t be afraid to call for a professional stager. It always pays off to ask an expert.
