So then we come to your third option which I think is the better one. You could invest a little bit of time and some money into buying some software that lets you do all your plans with only the click of mouse and a flick of the wrist.

Simple and easy to use, and you'll also most likely get a small tutorial to run you through the paces of the software. After which you'll be ready to get down to your remodeling plans with barely any time lost.
