Many of us look to ways of improving our quality of life. Many choose to buy only organic food and others decide to attend the gym regularly or go out walking each evening. Other popular ways of improving our health include stopping smoking and/or drinking. It hoped, by most of us, that doing healthy things and avoiding all things unhealthy we will become healthier and live longer while having a better quality of life. Quality of life also depends upon how we feel and how happy we are with life in general and the environment around us. One gadget that many folk fail to consider is air purifiers.
Out of all the different types of air purifiers that are available it is those that use HEPA filters that would be most suitable for you if you suffer from allergies. More and more of us appear to becoming allergic to household dust or developing hay fever and these are just two of the types of allergies that which can be greatly improved by using such an air purifier.
I love electronic gadgets, my house if full of them, from the essential electric kettle to the luxury LCD TV I recently purchased. Out of all of them I think it is the air purifiers that I could least live without if I had to. These incredible machines are installed in a few rooms in my house and they suck up the air, remove pollutants and then blow out fresh clean air - wonderful.
The most effective air purifiers are those which use special HEPA filters to clean the air. If you suffer from allergies you would really be wasting you money buying anything else. Yes they are a little bit more expensive that the cheap ones but they simply blow them away when it comes to a direct comparison.
Of course the cheap HEPA air purifiers only clean small amounts of air and are only really useful when used in a small room or when they are used as a personal air purifier (where it cleans only the air in your immediate vicinity). HEPA air purifiers are available in a massive variety of sizes right up to the huge industrial filters that cost thousands of dollars. Choosing the best air purifier depends on a number of factors. The most obvious influencing factor is the size of the room in which it is to be used. The size of the room will determine the amount of air that needs to be processed. Air purifiers usually increase in price as the amount of air that it can filter increases.
The reason why HEPA air purifiers are the best is that the filters have to be able to remove nearly all pollutants (99.97%) from the air that are above 0.3 micrometers in size. Annoyingly the filters themselves can bot be cleaned and will need to be replaced every now and these filters are more expensive than the ordinary ones.
One of the ways in which manufacturers can make HEPA filters last longer in their machines is the pre-clean the air with a cheap filter. As the air going through the HEPA filter is now cleaner there are less pollutants to clog it up and it therefore remains effective for far longer and replacement filters are needed less often.
HEPA filters, as you can see from the explanations above, are simply the only option to consider if you suffer from allergies to things found in the air such as pollen. Hay fever sufferers will notice an immediate effect so great that they will soon be singing the praises of HEPA filters to their friends. You will quickly discover how difficult it could be to part with them.
