Heavy Duty Water Hose
Gen Wright
Take a quick look around your own home. How many different types of building materials can you identify? For example, you may find concrete, marble, limestone, sandstone, granite, and others. Admire them while they are still intact. But ask yourself if these materials have been properly protected. If they haven't, chances are, they may not last as long as you would like them to. That is because over time, such materials tend to degenerate. Even simple substances such as water can cause severe damage in matter of years.
In fact, water is perhaps the worst enemy of building materials. It can penetrate into the insides of any building material as long as there is a tiny crack or water. And once inside, it can wreck the internal structures of the stones. For instance, you may have a sculpture that is made from limestone. When water is in the limestone, it tends to loosen the sand in the stone. This causes the crack to widen. Sometimes, when exposed to temperature changes, water may expand or contract (even freeze), which will cause even further damage to the stone. As you can see, once the insides are damaged, the process is almost irreversible. Even if you find some way to repair the structure, it will still cost you a fair amount of money.
To prevent that from happening, you need to protect your structures from water exposure. Structures come into contact with water when there is rain, condensation, or when there is washing. Some elements you can control, but others, you cannot. So the only way to solve this problem, is to protect the surface of the materials with a layer of water repellent sealer.
Your best choice, would be Defy heavy duty water repellent sealer. Why is that? Defy is a widely recognized brand in the industry. Experts such as homebuilders and contractors have learned to trust this brand. This is one of the few sealers that you can apply to a wide variety of stones - limestones, sandstones, bricks, concrete, etc. That means when you make a purchase, you can apply it to anything you want. You can apply the sealer to brick pavements, concrete walls, limestone sculptures, and others.
One layer is enough to protect the materials from water, oil, grease, and other contaminants. This is a non-glossy sealer. So you can expect the subject to retain its original appearance even after applying the sealer. The color and surface will be unchanged. Most people can't even tell the sealer is there!
The sealer is available in an easy to carry 1 gallon bottle, or a 5 gallon container. The 1 gallon product costs about 30 dollars, while 5 gallons cost about 140 dollars. So you enjoy a slight discount when you buy more. How much you buy depends on the surface area you wish to protect. It is safe to assume that you will need 1 gallon for every 100-200 feet.
