If individual states permit it, the can also perform some types of clinical duties. The job opportunities in this field are projected to increase by 52% between 2004 and 2014. The average hourly wage was $12 in the year 2004.
. Dental Assistant- The duties of dental assistants include laboratory work, patient care, and administrative care. It is expected that the growth prospects of employment opportunities for dental assistants will increase by 43% by 2014, with the average wage being $13.62 per hour currently.

A social service assistant earned $11.89 per hour in the year 2004, and the employment opportunities are expected to increase by 30% by the year 2014.
. Residential Advisor- They coordinate the activities of students living in fraternity houses or campuses. Their average wage in the year 2004 was $10.47 per hour, and their employment opportunities are expected to increase by 29% by the year 2014
. Pharmacy Technician- They assist pharmacists by counting tablets, labeling medicine bottles, and carry out other routine duties. Their wages per hour in the year 2004 was $11.37, and there is an expected growth of employment by 29% by 2014.
. Ambulance Driver and Attendant- They are not to be confused with Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT).
