The High School Musical (HSM) mania has bitten a lot of kids. HSM is a Disney Channel sensation that stars East High's Gabriela, Troy, Sharpay, Ryan, Taylor, and Chad. The popularity of High School Musical in the US and other regions of the globe not only started the production of profuse HSM goodies and concerts but also to the adoption of it in so many party themes.

Below are just a few groovy ideas for giving a party that will have your celebrator and guest kids beaming the night away.

Invitations

The thrill begins the moment the invitations are sent. You can let kids partake the invitation crafting and create their own invitations as well. Do this by cutting out musical notes in silver or gold or red and white then scribe the party details on the back. You can rope in fluffy and multi-hued pompoms or vibrant confetti to make it look more cool and fun.

You can also opt to fashion basketball and megaphone shapes by utilizing orange and red construction papers. Apply a black marker to put in detail to the shapes and lines on the megaphone and basketball. Write the party title on the megaphone and the other party details written on a white ring smaller than the basketball.

Decorations

Set the ambiance by decorating your patio, hall, or room with balloons and musical banners of white and red hues. Balloons can be merged with bunch of flowers and make nice table centerpieces too. Drape some silver and gold stars from the ceiling as these would tote up lively flickers. Use markers and create large banner bearing the captions "Wildcats” or “East High” and include the title of the bash like say, “Congratulations—“or “Happy Birthday—”

Also remember that celebrities are fond of marching on the red carpet. Prepare one for your special guests. Take pictures of each guest marching down the red carpet. Design a mock stage portion where all the guests can exit to as soon as they slip out the red carpet. And, because the theme of the party is all about music and songs, don't forget to have the High School Musical's soundtrack playing in the background.

Activities

Play customary musical games to the HSM soundtrack such as freeze dance, hot potato, or musical chairs. Or you can have the kids play charades—split them into three gangs, the jocks, the brainiacs, and the theater kids. Let the groups battle against each another.

Make kids sing along to their well-loved High School Musical tunes and capture a video of them singing. If you plan the party to be a sleepover celebration, you can have the guests snuggle down for the night and view the film together as their bonding and concluding activity.

Create your personalized party bags and fill them with HSM inspired items that might include colored basketball maracas, mock microphones, chocolate bars, sweat bands, HSM CDs, school supplies, and all that.

Transform your home or party venue into a school cafeteria. Dish up food on lunch trays.
