A business for moms is a great idea for many reasons. You get so much more potential to achieve great things, which many employers can not give. As such there are also negatives of running your own business as a work at home mom.

::: First the benefits of being a work at home mom :::

There are several benefits by being a work at home mom, some of the biggest ones are:

* Spend more time with your loved ones

* Save a lot of money on travel when working from home

* Potential to build a fortune (over time and not instantly)

* Freedom to set your own work timetable

::: Negatives of being a work at home mom :::

Being a work at home mom also has some negatives, remember we want a balanced and true view of being a work at home mom, some of the biggest negatives are:

* More risky than having a day job

* No guarantee of achieving wealth

* Might have to work more hours than working for someone else

A bit of a mixed view, when you take a look at the above points. Running a business is no easy ride. And wealth does take time, a lot of time. However, being a work at home mom does give benefits as we have seen.

Now if you are feeling brave and want to start your own business; the first tip before doing anything is to make sure, if you have a day job already, DO NOT quit until your business provides sufficient money for your needs at least for 2 to 3 consecutive months before firing your boss! It is so easy to wind up in more problems. Please remember that point. However, it will all depend on your circumstances and your ability in taking risks.

Starting a business purely to make money, I feel is the totally wrong way to go about things. Why someone buys from you is simply due to the fact that you are giving value. No one will pay someone, simply because that person wants to get wealthy!

Find something that you like doing. What is your passion? What do you like to do? What do you do, when you do that thing - time flies? This advice will help you do more than a person who only wants to get wealthy.

Take time in finding something that is right for you. You may have skills or abilities which can help you. Follow you passion and wealth will be yours. You will have more time to do what you want, and you never know, with patient and persistent effort to succeed, you may end up with financial freedom

These points I have covered will help you lay a foundation for getting on the right path in starting your own business as a work at home mom. It can be a daunting a scary experience. But, for the few who have the courage to go for it, they usually meet with wealth, but only when they persist to succeed.
