3. Dirty South: with the success of East Coast and West Coast came Dirty South rap in the mid 1990s. They independently released there albums and music, most of there rappers were heavily influenced by Ghetto Mafia.
4. "Gangsta Rap" is a term known for a sub-niche of rap. Some think that Ice Tea is the person who helped to shape this genre. Others think that Ice Tea was responsible.
There are other types of rap music like Pop Rap, Jazz Rap, Christian Rap, Electro Hip hop and Conscious Rap. They all have emerged after 1980s and till now they have became popular all around the US.
People may disagree on music genres in whole. This is why it is difficult to classify every single piece of music, be it rap, country, and the countless others.
