Htc Phones For 2009
Raina Kelsey
The new HTC mobile phone comes with a windows Mobile 6 Professional on a 201MHz processor with the standard 64 megs of RAM and 128 megs of flash ROM. It's an unlocked triband GSM phone with EDGE connectivity for data download from the internet. The first version released will be triband 900/1800/1900MHz compatible, which is better suited to Europe and Asia than the US where AT&T uses the 850MHz band heavily (T-Mobile uses 1900MHz, with only some 850MHz frequencies on roaming). The handset comes with striking and stunning features including WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2 megapixel camera and a standard QVGA resolution display. Coming in two colours of black and wasabi green, this beautiful and small phone looks elegant, extremely modern and stylish. The HTC handset has the rubbery soft-touch finish that makes it feel good when kept in hand. The matte black finish of the phone does show fingerprints, but not as much as other glossy phones. The phone has a chrome strip wrapped around the edges of the phone, that makes it look great.
The device made of plastic, including the chrome trim is really stunning and eye catching. The curved corners and bottom taper make it feel natural in the hand and there are no edges to catch on your pants' pockets or the nooks and crannies. Measuring 3.95 ounces (112 grams) and 0.55" (13.9mm) thick, it is considered as the smallest Windows Mobile Professional phone available in the market.
The handset comes with a battery under the back cover, and the entire cover slides off, rather than just a section. It has the screens in bright and sharp displays, though it has more glare than other Windows Mobile Professional and Standard phones. The rear-firing loudspeaker of the phone is comfortably loud and sound through the included headphones is excellent for music playback. The HTC Touch mobile phone is a triband phone that is unlocked for use with any GSM carrier. The speakerphone of the handset from HTC is in good quality through the small rear-facing speaker. Overall, it is a sleek handset that can be easily used for both work and play.
