Today, elevators are a part of nearly every commercial building, private official buildings, or the entertainment centers. Wherever you go, you will see them installed for the help and the convenience of the various users. More than being installed for convenience and comfort, they are installed especially for those who suffer from the various health problems and aren't able to climb up the staircases. However, with the increase in the use of the elevators, they were further divided into two categories namely, the residential elevators and the depending upon their use and its capacity.

Residential elevators were used mainly in the residential areas or buildings for the convenience of the residents. These elevators have a smaller capacity while all the other features remain same as the commercial elevators. The commercial elevators have a larger capacity as they are used more frequently in the commercial places by the visitors, the staff members or the clients. Thus, to adjust more number of people at a single round, they are created with a larger cabinet and some specific features.

In the commercial enterprises, a large number of people are linked to it and thus visit them very frequently. Thus, they need the larger elevators with a huge capacity and more safety features. For instance, the elevators in the shopping centers, the hospitals etc. have a huge place in them for the convenience of their users and patients. These elevators are broader with a bigger elevator door for allowing more number of people to enter at the same time. While the residential elevators have a capacity of just 4 to 5 people or a specific weight level for the safety of the users. The commercial lifts have the interlocks, emergency phones, stop buttons and the alarm system to call for help during problems or errors in the elevators.

Today the commercial buildings have numerous floors which this makes it very important to have an elevator for the convenience of the clients. Hence due to the growing number of commercial enterprises, there has been a rise in the need of commercial elevators as a result of which many new designs of passenger lifts have been created by the lift companies. These lifts make things a lot easier for the users to travel to the numerous places in the complex which thus makes the commercial elevators a very important part of a commercial enterprise.
