Pay for your own domain. I see so many people trying to make it with the free blogs out there. With the cost of a domain and hosting so cheap, there is no reason not to get your own. This will at least show you care enough about your business to invest in it.
OK, you probably have a pretty good idea of what you want to do with your blog. And, it most likely based on someone else's blog you saw along the way. So, head back over there and start trying to build a relationship with them. Make some informative comments on their blog, and see if they will start to answer you back.
If you can get the bloggers to answer you back, then you have just opened the door for starting a pretty good relationship. Now, take it one step further and start to email the blogger certain stories you think they may be interested in. Do not send them links to your blog!
