How To Wear Wedding Ring
Victor Epand
First of all, you have to decide how much you want to pay. A good rule of the thumb is to look at your two-month salary and choose a ring that will cost the same. It is a lot of money but it will ensure a ring that shows her how much you care for her.
If you are worried about the cost of the ring, talk to the family and find out if there are any family heirloom rings that can be passed on to you to give to her. It is the perfect combination of zero cost and heartfelt sentimentality.
Choosing the right diamond can also be difficult if you do not know what kind of diamond your future wife wants. The best thing to do is consult her friends and family to find out if they want a big diamond, oval diamond or a cheap diamond.
Another option is to propose without a diamond and take your fiance to the jewelry store so she can choose the one she wants, but just remind her about the two-month salary limit. When looking at a ring, there are four Cs to take into account.
1. Carat: The carat of a diamond is actually the measurement of weight. One carat equals one-fifth of a gram. The more carats, the bigger the diamond and the more money you will pay.
2. Clarity: This establishes the number of flaws in a diamond. Obviously, the more flaws there are on a diamond, the cheaper it will be and the more imperfections will appear on the diamond's surface.
3. Color: The whiter the diamond is, the better it is. The more yellow it is, the cheaper the price will be for you. If you have enough money go with the rare and highly expensive pink diamonds.
4. Cut: This defines the brilliance and sparkle of a diamond. Try and match the sparkle of your lover's eyes in the diamond.
There are also four shapes to a diamond: Round, emerald, princess and radiant. The most popular and the cheapest of the four shapes is the round. Remember that when you choose a diamond, the most important thing is to find one that will best represent the woman you love. In the end, she will be happy just to be marrying you and the diamond will be a secondary concern.
