People today are thinking too much about the function of their clothing, unless they are buying something for a specific activity. Sure, having the proper gear for skiing is quite important, just as swimwear will certainly be different than what you garden in. The rest of the time, however, most of us dress because of how we'll look, not because of what we'll be doing. Today, you'll find that not only are cowboys still swearing by their boots, but you're likely to find variations on this successful theme all over the United States, including on the feet of runway models at high couture events.

One reason that western wear is so versatile is that it chooses its accents in a manner that do not affect the actual structure of the clothing. Need to make a shirt fancy? Why, just add decorative and impressively intricate stitching and you're good to go!
