An ideal internet home business is the one that you have an interest in, have the skills to manage, is financially feasible, and is unique and profitable. But this is an ideal combination, therefore rarely found. Most of the people start a business based on their hobbies, skills and experience. But before you plan your business, it is important to see that business you intend to go in is profitable enough.

However tempting it may appear to you, never jump into a business just because it interest you enough. Or if you are passionate about something. You might be passionate about collecting match boxes but it is not necessary that it would translate into market for your ebook on match box collection.

Because most of people choose a business that they have a direct interest in or is related to a hobby of theirs. They must understand that, it is very important to study the financial viability and the market for your business without which they would be blind and stuck. This kind of business model is doomed to fail.

It is very tempting to rush with a product that is related to your area of interest, without proper study of the market. Research and analysis are the processes which would either confirm or discard the feasibility of the chosen business.

Your interest and skills may fit the business, but there may not be enough demand. There might be a very stiff competition that you are not prepared to deal with beforehand. There might be unforeseen financial requirements. Any or all of these may make that choice unfeasible and poor to execute.

Profitability of your business is of paramount importance and gets priority over all other points. If a business is not profitable it is a failure. After all our aim of coming to business is generate profits.

If you find from your market search and research that your business is not profitable, you should note be discouraged. There are many business opportunities and you should find an idea that would result in feasible business though it is loosely related to your original concept.

At times you may need to put some extra effort and learn more but the fruits would be quite rewarding eventually. The biggest thing is that you would be sure of what you are doing and there would be no doubts about revenue generation.

Therefore if your business is to be successful, economic viability takes priority over a personal hobby or interest. It is good if what interests you is also profitable but it may not be the case always.

You must find economic viability in your business idea. But if you cannot find viability in your own business idea(s), you should drop that idea and find out something that is feasible and profitable.

If you need to study a profitable topic/skill then do it but pursue an idea only when it is profitable.
