If you do not take your portfolio seriously you are not going to get very far in the modeling industry. Remember, these photos are what you need to sell yourself to the modeling world. If they are not professionally done you are not going to get anywhere.

After you have your portfolio together you should start sending it out to a number of different agencies. If they have any interest in the photos that you send they will then get in touch with you to set up a further meeting. This is what all models are looking for when they are trying to break into the industry.

When you are finally signed with an agency they will then begin to book you on jobs. This is when your modeling career will actually begin. Remember, getting hooked up with a successful and reputable agency is very important. After all, your agency is going to be guiding your modeling career from the start. If they do not do their job as far as booking you, you will not get very far.
