Look At Me Baby
Dennis Jaylon
Baby monitors are a blessing in disguise for mothers with infants or very small children. It is a wonderful invention that allows mothers to monitor their baby's movements, even if they are in different rooms in the house. The mother is aware of her baby's needs whenever he cries out, even in the middle of the night. Baby monitors give mothers considerable freedom to move about the house and attend to other housework, while being aware of the baby's activities.
While buying baby monitors, there are certain features that must be considered. The instrument consists of a receiver and a transmitter. The transmitter is kept close to the baby, while the mother carries the receiver around with her. The receiver is portable and can be easily carried around. There are some baby monitors that come with more than one receiver. This saves the mother the trouble of carrying one receiver wherever she goes. Instead she can put one receiver in every room of the house. Baby monitors with a belt clip are the alternative in case there is only one receiver.
While buying baby monitors with batteries, mothers should ensure that the instrument has an alarm that cautions when the battery is about to run out. There are times when the battery may be dead and the mother may be unaware of this fact. Baby monitors come with fixed ranges and, some with a range of 100 feet and some with a range of 400 feet. The range must be decided on the basis of the size of the house.
Before buying baby monitors it is important to see that the controls for changing the channel (in case there is more than one) and regulating the volume are not too complicated. Also, it would be better if you can have a live demonstration at the shop before finally buying the gadget. Surface mounting option like clips, suction cups, etc. are also important components of baby monitors.
