Latest In It Technology
Alexander Welz Welz
I have been interested in computer technology since the very a very early age. It has always been the same story when it comes to people using the technology to make more money as well as streamlining whatever they are doing, the people who need to use the technology don’t use it because they don’t understand how to use it. These are the very people that need to use the newest technology. If as a society we embrace and use the latest technology, we will have more money in our pocket and more free time. Technology is there to serve us as a tool to make things easier. Countries such as Japan, China, and Brazil have embraced technology and all of those countries have increased their revenues considerable and in some cases passed the United States.
I work with a lot of business owners, and when I talk to them about using technology in their business their first reaction is they need a website. Website Search engines such as Google is the number one way which new customers find you, but it not the only one. Also having a website does not guarantee people will find your website. The first thing you need to do before you build you website is to think of the target market, what you want on the website, and why you want a website. The next step is to design the website, and optimize it for the website search engines.
There are other ways to make money using the Internet. We are currently going through a Video Revolution. Companies like YouTube and Metacafe are redefining the way people get their news, search for products and network with others. To put it in perspective, I currently provide a product for Text Message Marketing, http://www.text2theworld.com/ This is incredible technology, and I believe the next generation in marketing. But, because it is new I was spending a lot of time educating people on how to use it. To cut down on the amount of time I was spending on each perspective customer I created a video that demonstrated how to use the product. You can check out the video at, http://www.youtube.com/watch'v=0yVWfi-AyWg I then put this video up on YouTube and I would point people to that video when they wanted to learn more about what it was and how to use it. What I did not expect were people I did not know to find the video and purchase the service. This is with a minimal amount of promotion, and limited keyword optimization, keyword optimization is still the number one way website search engines find you. Video technology on the Internet is still in its infancy, but that does not mean that it could not be a marketing powerhouse. Simply put, people like to be entertained and video it the best way to do that.
Another important piece of technology is Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP). For over 100 years the telephone companies have had a monopoly on telephone service. They charge anywhere from $25 to $30 a month just for a dial tone. Any calls you make or services you need are extra. If you run a business, it is not uncommon to see a phone bill of $200 to $300 per month. Using VoIP you pay one flat fee for unlimited calls. The cost varies from company to company, but it is usually around $25 per month. This is a significant savings. I hear some feedback that VoIP is not reliable and the signal is week. Ironically I only get this feedback from people that have never used VoIP. I have been using VoIP for almost 2 years and never had a problem. The VoIP company will send you a piece of hardware that plugs into your High Speed Internet Connection. Then your standard phone plugs into the phone jack on the hardware. Just plug the hardware into the Internet and you can make calls immediately. No special phones to purchase. One company I would recommend for VoIP service is Voitel https://www.marketamerica.com/welz/index.cfm?action=voiceOverIP.voipDetail Their computers that run the VoIP service is better than most other companies, the phone signal is very strong, and most importantly the phone support representatives are very helpful and easy to understand.
These are just some of the technologies that are available. To find out about what other types of technology are out there visit our website, www.InternetWealthGroup.org
